CloseCall America Given Green Light to Offer Local Telephone Service in Indiana

- The Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission (IURC) has approved CloseCall America's application to offer local telephone service to Indiana residents and small businesses. A full-service telecommunications company specializing in low-priced community calling, CloseCall America has provided long distance service in Indiana since 2001 and expects to begin offering local service on August 14, 2003.

"Indiana consumers will now have a new and better choice for local service," said Tom Mazerski, President and CEO of CloseCall America.

CloseCall filed an application with the IURC in April 2003 seeking permission to offer local service in the state. The petition was approved on July 14, 2003. Customers who choose to switch their local service to CloseCall America will be able to keep their same telephone numbers and will see no difference in the quality of service.

CloseCall services over 140,000 subscriber lines, primarily in eight states - Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio and Wisconsin.
