Call Intercept

You will need to subscribe to the Caller ID to use this feature. When the ID unit displays "private number", "unavailable" or "out of area", Call Intercept will ask the unidentified caller to record his/her name. Your telephone will only ring if the caller records their name, if so you will hear a distinctive ring and the Caller ID unit will display the words "Call Intercept". When you answer the call, you have five options:
  1. Press 1- Accept the call
  2. Press 2- Decline the call
  3. Press 3- Refuse a sales call
  4. Press 4- To hear who is calling again
If the call is not answered after 42 seconds, the caller hears, "The person you are calling is not available. Thank You, Goodbye".

Call Intercept also has a bypass option, which you can share with family and friends. When the intercept asks for the caller's name, the caller would enter a 4-digit code that the customer sets up at the time of ordering the feature. Once the call has bypassed the Intercept, the customer will hear a distinctive ring and the words "Priority Caller" will display in the ID unit.

Setup Options:
  1. At the time of ordering the Call Intercept feature, CloseCall America can offer you a toll-free number to dial: 1 800 527-7070. This toll-free number allows the customer to set up and change the personal pin number, and to turn on or turn off the Call Intercept feature.
  2. You can also give CloseCall America the personal pin number and we will add it to the customer service record so that only we can change the pin. With this choice you will not have the ability to use the toll-free number.
Call Intercept can also be set up for the Spanish Language.
