Outlook 2000 Setup
You must have your screen name, password, and know your e-mail address in order to set up Outlook 2000.

Anatomy of an Email Address
If you don't know the difference between your screen name and e-mail address or domain, please take a moment
to identify the parts of your e-mail address so that the following instructions will make more sense.
Your e-mail address resembles the following: johndoe@closecall.com
Every e-mail address contains:
- 'screenname' (also called a user id or username) which in this case is johndoe
- '@'
- 'domain.com' which in this case is closecall.com
Lets Get Started!
1. Click on the Start then Programs > Look for the Microsoft Outlook icon.
2. Once you click on this icon, you should see this screen. It may ask you to set up the account before you
see this screen; If it does, type in the appropriate information and you will eventually come to the above
screen. Once you have this screen, you can continue on with these directions.

3. Click on the Tools selection on the top portion of the window to see this menu:

4. In this window, select Accounts and you will see this screen:

5. Click on the Add button and Select Mail

6. A window pops up that takes you through a setup wizard. In the box labeled Display Name: make sure
you type in your full name. Click on the Next > button

7. In the box labeled E-mail address:, enter your e-mail address. Click on the Next > button to continue.

| Incoming Mail (POP3 or IMAP) Server: | mail1.closecall.com |
| Outgoing mail (SMTP) server: | smtp1.closecall.com |
Click on the Next > to continue.

| Under Account Name: | (type in your screen name) |
| Password: | (enter your password) |
Click on the Next > to continue.

Choose Connect using my phone line.

When this is done, click on the button labeled Next >. Now, on this screen, click on Finish.
11. Click on the Properties button and you will see the following:

12. Click on the Advanced tab (up top). You will see a selection in the middle of the screen for Server Time-outs. Slide this selection all the way up to 5 Minutes.
Click on the OK button on the bottom of the screen. Click on the Close button at the bottom of the screen.

13. You have successfully configured Microsoft Outlook 2000 to check your E-mail!
